Phoenix Chapter of HPNA

Important Announcement: Farewell HPNA Phoenix Chapter

Posted 3 months ago by Autumn Young in Phoenix Chapter Board

After receiving feedback from chapter leaders and members, the HPNA Board of Directors has voted to transition HPNA Chapters to HPNA State Communities. These groups will be self-led; they will not have a board of directors. Instead, all participants can be as involved as they want to be. Plan an in-person event near you, post on the group community, or host a virtual event – the choice is up to you!

Speaking of the group community – you now have access to an online community based on your location. This will serve as a great resource to connect and network with those in your area. View the HPNA State Communities here.

Over the next few months, you’ll notice some changes to our existing HPNA chapter, which will remain active through December 31, 2024. Stay tuned regarding upcoming farewell events we will be hosting to celebrate and remember the Phoenix Chapter's achievements over the years.

We know change can be challenging and our goal with taking this step is to make it easier for you, our members, to connect with one another.

If you have any questions, please contact HPNA at info@hpna.org.

Thank you to all our leaders who have led the way for HPNA in Phoenix from the inception of Phx HPNA. Although bittersweet, I look forward to what the new year will bring and pray we all stay connected. Blessings, Christy

I realize that on one hand, this change like any change can be difficult, yet on the other hand what lies ahead may be the best yet! I look forward to seeing how our collaborative future rolls out.
In the meantime, I send a friendly reminder and invite.
Please join us for our last Program Meeting as the Phoenix Chapter of HPNA, tbh Thursday, October 17 from 12N-1PM, via Zoom. Jodie Khotim, Community Outreach for the AZ Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association will speak to us about research and advances, as well as strategies to empower us as compassionate communicators who are serving those impacted by Alzheimer's disease.
This program will be posted on "Recorded Chapter Meetings" on our chapter website, available for on demand viewing through December 2024.
Thanks Christy for your words of encouragement!

A huge shout out to all HPNA and Phoenix HPNA leadership and members. We will continue to collaborate, support and educate each other in our chosen fields. May we all be blessed as we continue to care for ourselves, patients and the people around us. Many thanks, Shari

I am sorry to see the chapter close. I am so appreciative to the HPNA members I have met. Everyone has been so welcoming and supportive, especially Shari and Debbie who I found via the Death Cafe. I wish everyone the best and I am forever grateful for the community I found here who have inspired me to pursue my hospice and palliative path of nursing!
